Stob Coire Raineach (second climb)

Stob Coire Raineach (second climb)
4/5/2012
With Darren, Christopher and Cameron.
Darren's first Munro. Christoper's second climb. Darren, Chris and Cameron went on to climb Stob Dubh. My legs and knees weren't up to it even though though the new hiking poles were a big help. I had already climbed Stob Dubh anyway.

First hill of any note in England. More of an uphill stroll than a climb.

Schiehallion

Story has it that part of the Stone of Destiny was hidden up here and a fake is under the throne in Westminster Abbey.

Stob Coire Raineach

Stob Coire Raineach

With Christopher Boyd.
Christopher's first Munro. When I climbed Buchaille Etive Beag in 1994, I didn't traverse this top as it was not on the route and not classified as a Munro. It is now.

Quite a climb for Andy but he is an old hand in the hills.

Cairn Gorm and Ben Macdui

Cairn Gorm

Started late. Pretty sure I was last person on the ridge when I reached the desolate Ben Macdui which was not a comforting thought.
