Beinn Ghlas

We took two cars for the ridge walk but I left my keys in David's car at the start! We paid a local farmer for a lift back though.

The Cobbler (Ben Arthur) (Corbett)

Now with all the kit, ice axe and crampons. Used the Cobbler as a practice run which turned out to be heavy snow and wind. Still made the climb through Argyll's Eyeglass wearing crampons.

Cruach Adrain and Beinn Tulaichean

Cruach Adrain
9/1/93
With Eddie McHutchison.
No pictures at the top as we were hit by a blizzard. My home made ice axe was very limited use. Eddie had nothing and almost slipped off the top at one point. We got lost in the storm and came down the wrong valley, found a farm house and hoped there would be some way to get a lift. No luck, so we had to walk a long way back through the Glen in the dark to be met be local police at the car and we were duly chastised.

We met our first Munroist at the top and realised just how lacking our kit was for snow and ice.
